Jack's First Play

Jack went to his first play this Saturday, The Gingerbread Boy at the Birmingham Children's Theatre. Grandmother got the tickets for Jack and cousin Emma. The play was in a tiny theater space with little carpeted risers. It was just about 1/2 an hour long and they gave out cookies after. This was good because Jack had cookies on the brain after hearing about them over and over in the play. They also got to meet the characters after the play. I think they liked Miss Annie the best. She is the character in the picture. Jack played on the mini bulldozers outside the BJCC where they are revovating. I think he liked that almost as much as the play. Typical boy. After the play, Jack and I went to get lunch at the bakery in Homewood and ran into Santa Claus who was there for the parade. Jack was VERY polite and when Santa asked what he wanted, he said, "Trains."

Grandmother babysat Charlie and took him to the Christmas Parade, so he had a great time, too.
