Jack's Soccer Team

We just finished our very first season ever of a team sport. Our team was the CMS Towers. We had a great coach (Kim) who just volunteered at the first practice since we had no coach and great assistant coaches (Melanie, Dean and Al). Everyone had the attitude that it was supposed to be fun and learning and laid back.

Jack's favorite part in the begining was just having a uniform to wear. He LOVED his uniform.

Even so, by the end of the season we had won a bunch of games and everyone was running towards the correct goal most of the time. In practice, Jack did great with dribbling his ball through the cones. He also really loved playing goalie - except if he blocked a shot he would get so excited that he would usually forget to block the next shot. Overall, he did great for his first season.

The best part about it for me was watching the sheer joy on Jack's face as he would run up the field. Sometimes he would windmill his arms and do a big jump, just because he was having so much fun. You can click on the picture to get a close up of Jack.

Charlie enjoyed playing on the nearby playgrounds during practice with the other brothers and sisters.
